It’s official. The new record Picture the Ocean is out!
On June 8th we officially let this baby out of the bag with an awesome party at Bonnie Doon Hall in Edmonton. We were joined by some great friends and musicians including Swear by the Moon, Tallest to Shortest, Electric Religious; and it couldn’t have been a more perfect night.
Ever since the release, the band has been on the road touring the new record, and the response has been nothing short of amazing. Reviews have started pouring in as well: Buying Shots For Bands, The Edmonton Journal, Uptown Magazine, and Babysue.com to start with.
Anyone interested in picking up an album, either digitally or a personally signed copy from the band can use the Buy option on the player in the sidebar or go to the Music page.
In other news, the band is looking forward to a very different summer festival season. Starting on July 18 PTO will begin touring with Australian Funk Goddess Aurora Jane! Not only will both bands be sharing the road together, but Picture the Ocean will be the backing band for Aurora Jane! The band is super excited about spreading their wings and getting out of the box a little, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for a show coming to a town near you.
Picture the Ocean is also pleased to announce that we will be embarking on our first tour overseas in the Fall which will include stops in England, Scotland, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, and potentially more. Stay tuned for a full list of dates….
