It’s January 5th and it’s way above zero in the City of Champions… I don’t trust it… I squint my eyes upon feeling the warm air against my face while I remove the extra bundling, stripping down to a mere sweater and obligatory tuque. What the?!? I’ll take it, the sweater weather, the clear skies, the memory of balmier climates which would typically occur soon if this were SPRING, but it doesn’t mean I completely revel in it. I reckon something is up. This is Canada in winter for goodness sake.
What I DO revel in is this new website design! Jesse Dee is a certified genius. I almost wholeheartedly believe that there is nothing he can’t do! He spent the better part of a month learning how to use WordPress and this is the product – there are still glitches to wipe out and radness to implement, but for bare bones, I’d say it’s pert near perfection. Please feel free to peruse and comment at your will! This is a completely interactive site and what we’ve been hankering for for a while now. We want to hear from YOU! You can even sign up for the mailing list directly from this site – so easy. Listen to music? So easy. BUY music? Again, so easy. Want hi-res photos? EASY. Want to know where we’ll be at all times? … uh, EASY! So please, check it out and enjoy it and keep coming back cuz there’s much happening in this wonderful year called 2012.
Also… the new name… our new band name… It’s been chosen and we’d like to thank CKUA for directing folks to join in on the game by visiting the Facebook Event. We received what seems like hundreds of suggestions, but THE name will be unveiled in due time. It’s all coming together….
The next show: January 13th (freaky Friday!) in Edmonton @ Bonniedoon Hall.
The NEW ALBUM: recording starts Monday, January 16th in Edmonton @ Sound Extractor Studios with the mysterious Mr. Smith at the helm. Expect it out before you whip out your shorts and sandals! Ladies & Gentlemen! Preorders are gladly accepted by clicking the DONATE button.
Alright, adios folks! Happy New Year! Bonne Annee!
A la prochaine, until next time,
